Theatre with Closed Curtain
This year Canton Amateur Summer Theatre (CAST) will be working on the full scale production of HONK! In this 5-week program participants will learn what it takes to rehearse music, lines, and more in order to perform in their own production at the end of the program. There will be some exposure to the "behind the scenes" aspects of theater, including prop, costume, and set design, as well as overall production responsibilities. Participation will be limited to the first 25 sign-ups- all members will be cast in the show. Lead roles will be assigned after the start of the program. No experience necessary! The main goal of the program is to have fun producing a full-scale production. However, emphasis will be placed on teaching youth what it is like to participate in a musical. In addition to rehearsal, participants will play acting games, develop improvisation skills, and generally become more comfortable performing onstage. Attendance is mandatory ( including a few nights and some weekends) for all cast members, with a maximum of two absences permitted for each child over the course of the program.
If your child is interested in being involved with the program, but can not meet the attendance requirements, you may contact the Parks and Recreation Office (860-693-5808) to discuss options for involvement with the production.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
