GUITAR CLASS WITH STYLE!
This class is intended to give guitarist the opportunity to get better at their instruments and to work together as a group. We will play songs from various genres with music that’s promised to be fun to learn and to perform. At the end of the session, there will be a final concert.
Prerequisites:
Participants should play guitar. Players with similar abilities will grouped together and arrangements will be geared to their skill level so all can play. Music can be arranged either in regular notation of tablature form. All levels of ability are welcome.
JAM BAND EXPLORATION
This class is designed to let kids explore what it is like to work together in a band. The class will work on learning songs, improvising, listening to each other, and group dynamics. At the end of the session, there will be a concert to showcase what has been learned.
Prerequisites: Participants should have some knowledge of a musical instrument. All levels of musicianship are welcome.
About the Instructor:
David Zucker is an accomplished pianist, guitarist and composer. He has studied at Skidmore college and has toured the US, Europe and Asia. He has performed with Phish, KJ Sawka, Bill Frisell, and Taylor Mcferrin. He currently makes music for a variety of TV networks including the Discovery Channel, the Food Network, and the NFL.
