A full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Using lightly weighted drumsticks engineered for exercising, Pound transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Designed for all fitness levels! Easily modifiable, Pound provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin' out!  Participants need to bring a mat and water bottle; pound sticks are provided by the instructor. Session IV: No class 4/1Session V: Five week session - No class 5/6 & 5/27 Please review the following COVID-19 safety protocols prior to registering: Masks are optional in all Canton municipal buildings and facilities, regardless of vaccination status.Social distancing still encouraged during physical fitness classes. This class is a great way to stay active, while engaging with your child and other caregivers. The format will entail a structured fitness set as well as a walk. All fitness levels are welcomed! The class is designed to help kick start your fitness journey and find a community of caregivers. Children ages 4 and under are welcomed to join their caregiver to the class. NEW! Tot & Me: Cardio & Mobility (Tuesday Class) This new class will focus on raising the heart rate for a quick and effective workout. This primarily body weight class will build strength and mobility through a variety of exercises. Similar to our Thursday class, caregivers of all levels of fitness are encouraged to come workout and bring their children (4 yrs & under). No class 4/30.Weather permitting: Fall/Spring sessions only - classes may be held outdoors at Mills Pond Park. Participants will be notified if class will be at a different location. Walks will take place in the area near park or on the trails in the surrounding area.Winter Sessions: When it becomes too cold for outdoor walks toddlers will have the opportunity to burn some energy using a variety of play equipment after the workout portion is over. Equipment: Please bring a mat, water and stroller. Canton P & R will supply light weights, but you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring toys for your children to play with when they need a break from the workout. Some, not all, exercises may include an option to have your child participate; however, child participation is not required to complete the program.Participants must be cleared to exercise by a health care provider if recently (8 weeks) postpartum.   Drop-ins welcome: We ask that each participant pre-register for a drop in class prior to attending.

Fitness MatrixThis fun beginner-to-intermediate class provides a full-body workout using multiple fitness modalities: resistance training, cardio, balance, and stretching using resistance bands, light weights, steps, POUND Ripstix®, occasional dance fitness moves, and chairs for optional standing support. Each class varies slightly, but each works all major and some minor muscle groups. Bring your own tools or we can provide them. Instructor Kathi Boratko is an Athletics and Fitness Association of America™ (AFAA) certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and owner of FITMiX with Kathi.

Join anytime! Registration is rolling. You pick your schedule!Join the party and enjoy the health benefits of this energetic, feel good, low impact aerobic workout. This class is a total body workout set to Latin and international rhythms. We use the same music and choreography as Zumba Basic; the routines are just modified to be more gentle on your knees. No experience necessary, just a willingness to dance and have fun while logging at least 5,000 steps on your fitness tracker!Interested participants are welcome to take a FREE class on either a Tuesday or Saturday. Registration for a free class is required - see below. How it works:  Pick your schedule - purchase this flex schedule to be able to attend when it works for you. 8 class pass; classes run continuously throughout the year. This dance and gymnastics program is designed for all skill levels. Dance is such a fun environment to be in. It's a place to be you, be silly, meet new friends and have fun!! Students will be learning a variety of dance routines during Hip Hop and will be learning lots of awesome and fun gymnastics skills. This program is a great way to keep up your skills and learn new ones. Sign up today! Thank you! Hip-Hop/Gym (6-10 years old): - Session I & II are 8-week classes and there is no commitment to the recital at the end of the year. Please note, if you would like to continue into the recital sessions the costume must be ordered by December 1. - The Recital Session begins in late January. This is a longer session where participants will work on skills and choreography to be presented at the final recital. Participants who are registered for this session are automatically included in the recital. Instructor will provide additional information on recital costume (additional fee). This program is only for students who have participated in session II of Next Gen. Payment plan available for the Recital Session only. Looking for a quick and effective workout? Join us for a fusion fitness class! In just 40 minutes, you'll work the whole body and get your heart rate pumping with varying intervals of intense cardio and strength exercises paired with active recovery. Class will include different HIIT - high intensity interval training, along with other mobility, strength and cardio formats.  No need to worry if you're new to workout classes - modifications will be offered for many of the exercises, so you can reduce or increase the intensity as needed. This class is designed for all fitness levels, so come as you are and get ready to sweat! Not only does this class offer a time-efficient way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, it can also help you burn calories and build muscle.  Don't let a busy schedule keep you from taking care of yourself - join us and start reaping the benefits of this quick and effective workout! This dance and gymnastics program is designed for all skill levels. Dance is such a fun environment to be in. It's a place to be you, be silly, meet new friends and have fun!! Students will be learning a variety of dance routines during Hip Hop and will be learning lots of awesome and fun gymnastics skills. This program is a great way to keep up your skills and learn new ones. Sign up today! This is a longer session where participants will work on skills and choreography to be presented at the final recital. Participants who are registered for this session are automatically included in the recital. Instructor will provide additional information on recital costume (additional fee). Looking for a quick and effective workout? Join us for a fusion fitness class! In just 40 minutes, you'll work the whole body and get your heart rate pumping with varying intervals of intense cardio and strength exercises paired with active recovery. Class will include different HIIT - high intensity interval training, along with other mobility, strength and cardio formats.  No need to worry if you're new to workout classes - modifications will be offered for many of the exercises, so you can reduce or increase the intensity as needed. This class is designed for all fitness levels, so come as you are and get ready to sweat! Fitness MatrixThis fun beginner-to-intermediate class provides a full-body workout using multiple fitness modalities: resistance training, cardio, balance, and stretching using resistance bands, light weights, steps, POUND Ripstix®, occasional dance fitness moves, and chairs for optional standing support. Each class varies slightly, but each works all major and some minor muscle groups. Bring your own tools or we can provide them. Instructor Kathi Boratko is an Athletics and Fitness Association of America™ (AFAA) certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor and owner of FITMiX with Kathi.

This class is a total body workout set to Latin and international rhythms. We use the same music and choreography as Zumba Basic; the routines are just modified to be more gentle on your knees. No experience necessary, just a willingness to dance and have fun while logging at least 5,000 steps on your fitness tracker!Interested participants are welcome to take a FREE class on either a Tuesday or Saturday.
